Can I have some pricing information please?
Every cake order is different and various factors affect the final price you pay for your cake - ingredients, complexity of design, etc. On average:
Buttercream-frosted Cakes from $4.50/serving
Fondant-frosted Cakes from $5.50/serving
Standard Cupcakes from $24/doz
Mini Cupcakes from $12/doz
Mini Cakes from $8.00 each
3D Cakes from $9/serving, minimum order is $150.
3D CAR Cakes from $200
How do I place my order?
Use the form on our Contact Us page to send us information about your cake. We will respond to you with a quote. If you choose to place the order, then, make a payment to confirm the order. Orders are only confirmed upon receipt of payment.
What is your policy on order cancellation or refunds on custom cakes?
Please note that we can not accept any changes to orders the week that the order is due.
Cancellations are not accepted on orders due within a week, and Essence Cakes reserves the right to refuse refund of any payment or deposit made on the order.
In the event of a cancellation, contact us in writing no later than one week before the scheduled pickup/delivery date. No cash refunds. Credit will be given toward another cake order that is placed within 3 months of the cancellation. Otherwise, any deposits/payments made on the cancelled order is forfeited.
If for any reason an event for which you made a partial cake payment was cancelled, and we were not notified in writing as stated above, and the cake was not picked up or delivery was denied, you will still be responsible to make full payment on the cake order.
Can I arrange to pick up my cake?
Yes you can. Just let us know when you plan to pick up and we will ensure that it is available for you at that time. Please be punctual for your pickup at the scheduled time. If you arrive later than scheduled, we may not be available because we may be away delivering cakes to other customers, and you may have to wait a couple of hours before we return.
Do you deliver cakes?
Yes, we do.
- Monday to Friday, delivery service is provided by a local courier and can be arranged from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, and guaranteed to be before 5:00 pm. If you want the delivery to be made at a specific time, an extra charge applies.
- Saturday delivery is also available from 11:00 am - 5:30 pm.
- You, or the person you designate, must be present for the delivery of the cake. In the event that you are not present and the cake is returned to us, you will have to make another payment to have it delivered at a time that is more convenient for you.
Do you charge for wedding cake consultations?
Yes, we now do. In the past, this service was free but then, some brides failed to turn up without showing us any courtesy by calling ahead of their no-shows. We charge a nominal fee of $25.00 for 45 minutes. If you decide to book your wedding cake with us, that fee is applied toward the purchase of your cake.
Do you offer cake tasting?
Sorry, we do not. The reason is because every cake is freshly baked to order, and we seldom have any extra cakes to offer as samples. Please read what our customers have to say about their cake orders on our Applause page. We will also be happy to provide you with references, if you prefer.
What is your privacy policy?
The information that you provide to us will only be used solely for our purposes, to gather information about your order so that we might be able to customize our services in order to serve you better. We guarantee that the information we have about you will not be sold, rented, or exchanged for benefits to other companies. We, however, use third parties to aid us in providing great service to you, such as payment processing, mail delivery and order fulfillments. In the event that your personal information is provided to third parties, we assure you that such information will be handled in the strictest confidence. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to ensure your online transaction is secure.
